WESTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERNSHIP

(SEPTEMBER 2015 – JUNE 2018)

Held the position of Social Media Intern for the Western Washington University Athletic Department for the past two and a half years. I have helped bring WWU Athletics to new levels on various channels of social media including: the introduction of Snapchat, the growth of followers on Instagram and Twitter, as well as continually improving our presence on Facebook. This position was crucial in communicating with the students on our campus as we tried to reach a larger following through Instagram and Snapchat stories. Check out one of the projects I got to work on here.

DOWNTOWN BELLINGHAM PARTNERSHIP

PUBLIC RELATIONS CAMPAIGN

 (SEPTEMBER – DECEMBER 2017)

Along with two other Western Washington University students, we created a successful public relations campaign for the Downtown Bellingham Partnership (DBP). A key role I played was with design. This included the final campaign booklet, the various handouts included as part of our pitch and a rendering of mural contest that we proposed. Ultimately our plan was able to captivate the attention of the DBP and our group was “selected” as the agency of choice. Take a look at our final product here.
